Help Your Team Share Feedback Effectively!

Whether commenting on a colleague’s work or addressing the behaviour of a direct report, everyone on your team needs to provide constructive feedback. But delivering criticism can be uncomfortable and intimidating.

And it can be hard to share in a way that the recipient can understand, accept, and act on.

Give them step-by-step guidance, and practical tools to lead your team through the techniques of giving difficult feedback and how to get the message across.

Why Change? Planning our death, is planning our living.

The most challenging question I ask my self and have been asking for the last 35 years! How long do you want to live Nicos? I answered with faith and active intention, according to my DNA and my two grandparents 90 years or more. So I am left to live with 24 years or more!

How can I be filled with all the opportunities, challenges, joys and experiences still ahead?

    My time for reflection now!

So let’s go throw the following questions and each of us giving his/her own answers. Find place you feel comfortable, book an hour with yourself alone, put on some nice relaxing music and start writing the answers. This is only for you. 🙂

    1. What do I want to do with the life I have left to live?
    2. What do I want to experience?
    3. What do I want to witness?
    4. What do I want to become?
    5. What I want to learn?
    6. What do I want to be part of?
    7. What do I want to change, shape, leave better than I found it?
    8. In short, what do I want to do for the rest of my life?

Pick the day and let’s fill in the rest of our lives. If you think carefully about each of the barriers and determine that you can change, you will be well on your way to a more rewarding and fulfilling life.

Get free of the struggles for reaching the joyful & unlimited top!

    achiever11

If glory is a powerful incentive why inevitably dreams are dashed, hearts are broken, and most fall short of their expectations because there is little room at the top? What is the difference that allows some to fit into that narrow window to the top? What is the point? If ambition spells probable disappointment, why pursue excellence?

My answer to all these questions, I believe, lies in a well thought out approach that inspires resilience, the ability to make connections between diverse pursuits and day to day enjoyment of the process.

The vast majority of motivated people, young and old, make terrible mistakes in their approach to learning. They fall frustrated by the wayside while those on the road to success keep steady on their paths.

And you know what? It’s never to late to start.

Make the year 2017 a different year,  that better year.

Select your coach, mentor and personal trainer and start learning.

    Season Greetings

Authentic Leadereship lessons: Balanced Processing and Collaborative Decision Making.

    authentic-leadership

We are all trapped in our own good or bad way of thinking, trapped in our own way of relating to people. We get so used to seeing the world our own way that we come to think that the world is the way we see it!

The challenge of any business leader or polititian today is to see how they can bring complementary, different, and important skills and points of view to the table. And to select people whose talents are equal to and perhaps greater than their own talents. Bring people to the table with different approaches and ways of thinking into the mix and rely heavily on them as true partners.

Our ability to see ourselves, our opponents and the situation in a balanced manner serve us very well. We mustn’t be blinded by our own thinking or our own point of view. By habit and instinct we must surround ourselves with people who challenge our thinking and helping us see even more clearly.

Let us find out what balance processing is and how we can train our business leaders and politicians how to do it immediately!

“Balanced processing is a cognitive, emotional and behavioural skill that allows us to look at ourselves, others and situations with a broad lens that doesn’t magnify your own view or organise everyone else’s views around our own”.

Balanced processing is an essential skill for the practice of authentic leadership. A tool to balance our thought process, to bring balance to our thinking and decision making about ourselves, others and situations.

To really survive and thrive outside of the water of our own thinking. If we all go out and have several conversations with people who interest us, for the sole purpose of understanding how they think, we can broaden our own views.

Of course it takes work, effort and attention to get out of the box of our own perceptions and broaden and balance our thought process.

Balanced processing is the opposite of self-deception and we all know people who deceive themselves everyday. And deceiving yourself can appear to be easier, at least in the short term, than dealing with cold, hard realities about yourself, others, or situations.

After all, how on earth are we going to be authentic and real if we can’t see things, ourself, and others clearly?

If you want to bring Balanced Processing in your career and personal life, we can help!

    Have a big ego?

Did you know that putting that ego on the shelf and say “I don’t know” at the right time can make a difference in business terms but also in the process of becoming more authentic?

You have to challenge your own point of view, the water you swim in, in order to admit your biases.

Working everyday with people as smart as you who are going to challenge you doesn’t always make you feel good. It takes a lot of confidence or what I call a big ego to tolerate constant pushback on what you think.

The most challenging issue is to be able to put your ego on the shelf and maintain a strong point of view at the same time. That is one seriously difficult dance! 🙂

We can teach you how to do it!

Fix traits, free traits and real.

When businesspeople talk about self-awareness, they are usually referring in some fashion to what psychologists refer to as traits. Knowing what your traits are is just the beginning of selves awareness.

Every person is like all other persons, like some other persons, and like no other person. Your experience, your biology and traits result in your alchemy and who you are at a deeper level.

Knowing your traits and the traits of others helps you work more effectively with people at various situations!

Get a deeper sense of your traits, receive feedback from your interventions and work out an improvement and refining learning program.

    Change vs. Transformation

We take for granted that things “are” a particular way. To effect change, we go to work on altering circumstances, the people around us, even ourselves.

In this session, we explore the difference between change and transformation. Change is essentially a comparison to something that previously existed.

By its very nature, change is past-based. Essentially, change yields more, better, or different from what came before. Transformation, on the other hand, is an act of bringing forth or inventing. It is something created, and is inherently expansive and infinite.

Τhe shift, or transformation, occurs for people. This dramatic shift enables us to think and act outside existing views and limits, and to redefine ourselves and the reality we have known.
