Digital tools available today to organisations are often inferior and harder to use. Those offered over the web at home are much easier. This damages citizens’ confidence in government. Moreover, demoralises employees who feel hamstrung and unproductive. A challenge for Government in a society and economy undergoing a digital transformation. This new digital era requires a fundamental shift in mindsets and a change in how we live and think.Technology is essential to the functioning of government agencies. Thus they must adapt to this evolving environment. They must move away from conceptual frameworks, models and programs developed decades ago. They must learn how digital technology can enhance their operational and policy work. And provide citizens with value added services. -

The only danger is not evolving!
The only danger is not evolving!Vanity Fair magazine featured interviews about the early days of the Internet. Jeff Bezos revealed that Amazon was successful from the start.
In fact, orders were backlogging. Jeff and a fellow executive headed to the shipping room to help process orders. They were on their hands and knees, packing up books. When his colleague turned to him and said, “This is killing my knees and my back.” Jeff mulled it over, then said, “We should get kneepads.” His friend looked at him like he was crazy. “No Jeff, we should get packing tables.”
An excellent example of how intriguing it is when someone bypasses a “low hanging fruit” answer.
Moreover, introduces a more innovative, evolved way to solve a problem.

Lack of Confidence?
Presenting…
Tennis champ Chris Evert was asked, on the first day of the tournament, if Serena Williams had a chance of winning the 2014 US Open. Chris said, “We all know confidence is the name of the game for her.” Confidence is the name of the game for all of us. Fortunately, it is a learnable skill, not a strange ability we either have or don’t.
These four steps can help you channel nervousness into the “show,” so you can walk into any interaction, raring to go.
1. Go for a walk/rehearse.
2. Have a flexible game plan.
3. Give yourself a home-field advantage.
4. Tower, don’t cower.
