The Art of Discovering the Right Question!

“If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.”

The usefulness of the knowledge we acquire and the effectiveness of the actions we take depend on the quality of the questions we ask. Questions open the door to dialogue and discovery. They are an invitation to creativity and breakthrough thinking. Questions can lead to movement and action on key issues; by generating creative insights, they can ignite change.

A powerful creative  question: • generates curiosity in the listener • stimulates reflective conversation • is thought-provoking • surfaces underlying assumptions • invites creativity and new possibilities • generates energy and forward movement • channels attention and focuses inquiry • stays with participants • touches a deep meaning • evokes more questions.

A powerful question also has the capacity to “travel well”—to spread beyond the place where it began into larger networks of conversation throughout an organisation or a community.

Spend 90 mins with us, live online, and we will teach you how to ask powerfull questions!

Usefull for probing, influencing, closing, teaching, facilitating, coaching and interviwing.

Dealing with Client Emotions when they complaint.

    hbdi team

“When dealing with people, remember that you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but creatures of emotion…”

If you remember this statement during every one of your customer service interactions, you will be half way to understanding how to deal with customer complaints. You must be prepared to first deal with a client’s emotions and then deal with the actual issue.

Unless you can respect the client’s perspective, it will be difficult to deliver a solution that turns a negative situation into a positive one.

It’s not always easy to get to the root of a client’s issues. You may use the why underneath the why or create and empathy map leading to your client insight.

You must listen and understand the client before tackling the issue. However once you have identified the issue, there are a few steps that you can take to ensure the process leads to favorable results.

Your response to customer complaints can build trust and even create customer/client loyalty or even drive innovation to deliver added value to your clients

    Integrity:Values in action

To truly be ourselves and put our core values into action in every moment of every day may seem like a goal beyond our reach. Yes, it’s nor easy. It’s hard.

The great person who stands out is the one who’s so committed to his values that he is prepared to pay the price for authenticity.

So, I’ll now invite you to play in your mind and think this question. Who are you when no one is watching?

Are you willing to pay the price of authenticity or would you rather take the easy way out and join the crowd who playing fast and loose with their values? Your choice to become a leader and stand out in the crowd and steer your life and those you love according to those inner values that you know are true for you!

If we look to those leaders who we respect the most, they are very often people who risk much for what they believe.

High performance and engagement practices. Specific practices can deliver enhanced employee and organisational outcomes. There is no agreement about precisely what practices are most important, but there is a consensus that the practices required must provide employees with three things: 1. The ability to work effectively. 2. The motivation to work effectively. 3. The opportunity to work effectively

Listening is the foundation of any good relationship. Great leaders listen to what their customers and prospects want and need, and they look to the challenges clients face. What do you think as a leader, are you listening? Be authentic, please! Maybe if you don’t it works for you. Tell us about it.
