    Motivational levels in organisations.

Managers recognize that if they could elevate the motivation level of each individual employee, it could equate to a significant increase in overall performance and production.

Yet survey after survey indicates that employees are operating with lower levels of motivation and higher levels of disengagement.

In a sense, even with their best efforts to motivate the staff, managers are getting inconsistent, if not disappointing, results. What if that didn’t have to be that way?

    Beliefs

    Beliefs

A belief describes a basic structure in our model of the world that we hold as true.

Often we hold varying degrees of beliefs.
We believe something strongly, other things no so strongly.
Beliefs that we hold very dear and that drive our thoughts and actions we call core beliefs. We use them as presuppositions.
Beliefs act as major neurological filters that determine how we perceive external reality.
Our beliefs about what we value as important or not important powerfully shape our perceptions. The perceptions create our emotions which drive behaviour and action to achieve results.

We respond according to our maps of reality.

We respond according to our maps of reality.

Our map as our perception of the territory, determines or controls both our perceptions and our responses.
We respond to the world, not as the world exists but according to our map of it.
We do not operate directly on the world, but on our individual perceptions of the world.
We restate that the map consists of all filters such as: our beliefs, values, attitudes, language, memories, and we experiencing our map as thoughts through our sensory representations systems.
So before we expect someone to change their thinking, emoting, responding etc, their internal map must change.
The “map” is not the territory
What goes on inside our head (internal reality) concerning an event, it only comprises our perception of that event (external reality).
When we experience an event we try to make sense of it, so we construct  an internal representation in our minds of that event, which includes or sensory VAKOG components.
So really the map does not consist of the territory it represents.
It consist of the conceptual understanding of the event!.
We can never represent an external event exactly out there, therefore,  like the menu is not the meal.

The way we communicate affects perception & reception.

The way we communicate affects perception & reception

How you say what you say often has more importance to the communication than what you say.
A great portion of communication occurs via non-verbal channels.
This means that we always and inevitably not only communicate by what we say (verbally) but also communicate by how we say something (non-verbally), such tone of voice, facial expressions, breathing, posture etc.
    These messages exist as para-messages.
So the goal of good communication is to align all communication  channels so that they communicate the same message and do not conflict or contradict each other!

The One Who Sets The Frame For The Communication…

The frame governs perception, meaning, emotion, behaviour, and values.

We all live in a frame of reference.
Even a simple act of looking at a picture presupposes various frames of references.
What do we focus on, its overall configuration or some detail?
Do we do one and then the other?
Do we see it in terms of its beauty, in terms of what it took to create it, in terms of
its value financially, in terms of its usefulness, etc?
We learn a great many of our frames from within the culture of our maturation.
Afterwards, we live within those frames as unconsciously as apish lives in water.
Yet the frame governs perception, meaning, emotion and values!
Therefore he who sets the frame truly govern the interpersonal field that results.
    Win/Lose or win/win frame?

Mentally strong people do not …

waste energy on things they can not control… Success is an attitude… The circumstances don’t dictate your success, attitude does. Commitment, immersion and passion are what drive someone.

Learning to control the thoughts, emotions and actions that you produce are key to a successful attitude.

    Creating Achievable Outcomes.

    Creating Achievable Outcomes

Learn how to think productively and setup direction in your life and business

It is a 5-step structure, based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) principles, and it was modeled from studies of successful people. It involves asking a set of questions that identify and clarify your intentions, actions, and thoughts, so that you can define your goal in a “well-formed” way. It provides the answer to the question, What do I really want?

In this case an outcome is a statement about a desired state that you want instead of the present state you are in. It is a clear statement and representation in your mind of what you want.

An outcome contains a desire, a commitment and sets the direction, a result you want to get from taking a specific action. The Disney method will be used to come up with creative thinking around an outcome during class exercise.

    Outline of the 5-Step methodology:

Step 1 – Define your outcome, characteristics

Step 2 – Check your current state

Step 3 – Create a strong internal representation

    Step 4 – Create a well-formed outcome

Step 5 – Integrate your outcome

    “Better conversations with your children?”

“How to have better conversations with  your children
    as they grow and mature!”

    Dear Parent

A practical workshop to learn how to engage children in a dialogue with less defensiveness and less argument. The all new and updated workshop to teach parents how to engage in a conversation with their children beyond sadness and frustration, how to connect more and have a profound influence on the way they think.

In my professional life as a facilitator and coach people, clients, and my seminar attendees approach me looking for help for their children after finding what I teach applicable in their personal life.

I yearly dedicate a slight portion of my time to selected “clients” with challenging issues.  Either to help their children accelerate their learning and perform at exams or to improve communication with them.

And through a one on one meetings with parents we coach and inspire them to find creative ways to communicate with their increasingly uncommunicative kids.

Our primary job as parents is to take our children to the mountaintop, to become a resource of knowledge, guidance and inspiration to help them craft, shape and told their characters. To enrich the conversation, grow the level of two-way communication, improve active listening and emotional balance.

I run twice a year this new updated workshop which will help you and enable you as a parent put your child in touch with his heart and mind so that you will prepare him for mastering cognitive and social behaviour.

I hope and firmly believe that this workshop as a guide will steer you toward a wholly new and improved way of parenting. You will become a more effective parent and that in so doing you will raise children who will always reach for the highest plane. Words that emanate from the heart penetrate the heart!

Get in touch with me at nicos@nicospaschali.com to find out more and discuss the suitability of the “Conversations” workshop to you personally.

    Be well and happy
